Ingredientes

  • 1 saqueta de pudim de caramelo instantáneo (tipo “Boca Doce”” sem açúcar);
  • 3 ovos;
  • 2 saquetas de açúcar;
  • 3 saquetas de farinha;
  • 1 saqueta de leite;
  • 1 saqueta de óleo;
  • 1 colh. (café) fermento;

Preparação

Misture bem.
  3. Unte e polvilhe com farinha uma forma (no meu caso utilizei uma forma de bolo inglês) e vai ao forno cerca de 45-50 minutos.

Here’s the English version of this clever no-measure cake below

Packet Cake

This brilliantly simple cake recipe uses the instant pudding packet as a measuring cup for all ingredients – it’s the ultimate in convenience baking without sacrificing flavour. The caramel pudding mix creates a beautifully moist crumb with a subtle caramel flavour that permeates throughout the cake.

What makes this recipe so clever is its foolproof nature – there’s no need for kitchen scales or measuring cups, just use the empty pudding packet to portion everything out. It’s perfect for beginner bakers or when you want a reliable cake without any fuss. The result is a tender, golden cake that’s wonderful on its own or can be dressed up with cream, fresh fruit, or a simple dusting of icing sugar.

Ingredients

  • 1 packet instant caramel pudding (sugar-free type, like “Boca Doce”)
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 packets sugar (using the pudding packet as measure)
  • 3 packets flour (using the pudding packet as measure)
  • 1 packet milk (using the pudding packet as measure)
  • 1 packet oil (using the pudding packet as measure)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Method

  1. Use the instant pudding packet for all measurements (that’s what makes this recipe so brilliant!).
  2. Beat the eggs with the sugar until pale and fluffy. Add the flour mixed with baking powder, the pudding mix, milk and oil. Mix well until combined.
  3. Grease and flour a cake tin (I used a loaf tin) and bake for approximately 45-50 minutes until golden and a skewer comes out clean.
