Mustard & Orange Glazed Chicken Drumsticks
Looking for a new and easy way to liven up chicken night? These drumsticks are coated in a gorgeous glaze of orange marmalade and wholegrain mustard, creating a delicious balance of sweetness and gentle heat. The result is sticky, golden drumsticks with just the right amount of citrus aroma. Serve with roast potatoes, rice, or a fresh slaw for a meal that’s bursting with flavour with minimal effort.
Ingredients
- 4 chicken drumsticks
- 2 tbsp orange marmalade
- 1 tbsp wholegrain mustard
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Method
- Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).
- Mix together the marmalade, mustard, and olive oil in a bowl. Add the drumsticks and marinate for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavours to develop.
- Arrange the drumsticks in a baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes, then turn the drumsticks and bake for another 10–15 minutes, until golden, caramelised, and cooked through.
Variation: Try brushing on an extra layer of glaze during the last 5 minutes of baking for a stickier finish. These drumsticks are also delicious served cold for a picnic-style meal or shredded in wraps with salad greens.
Tip: For extra zing, add a splash of orange juice or a pinch of chili flakes to the marinade, or finish with fresh herbs like thyme or parsley before serving.
